  • What’s on the menu?
    The menu is a 9-course meal comprising all your Thanksgiving favorites! You start with a delicious spinach and artichoke dip, a vegan turkey roast (yes, an actual turkey shaped roast!), vegan stuffing, fluffy dinner rolls, smothered garlic green beans, creamy mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce (that can be made with fresh, frozen, dried or canned cranberries), a delectable lemon garlic kale salad with a dressing that will blow your mind away, and an insane no-bake pecan pie cheesecake.
  • What if I want to swap the dishes or not make all of them?
    That’s totally fine! You don’t *have to* make all the dishes in the menu, but if you choose to, you have a 9-course meal ready to go! If you want to leave some out, it’s quite simple - just ignore that part of the schedule. If you want to swap some, then you’ll just want to make sure that the swap is similar to one of the dishes (i.e., if you want to swap the Instant Pot dip with something else, make sure that the dip is another Instant Pot dip, or something that won’t require the use of the oven at the same time). I’ll have tips on this in the substitution guide!
  • Are the recipes allergy-friendly? How can we accommodate dietary restrictions?
    The recipes are all vegan, and are balanced in a way that there’s something for everyone! For instance, most of the recipes are gluten-free and nut-free. Some of the recipes can be made oil free. But they’re not specifically for any dietary need. To accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions, we have put together a detailed substitution guide for ingredients, as well as a variation guide with alternatives for the main course! Plus, we have a dedicated private Facebook community to help you connect with other users, where we’ll be around and try our best to answer questions!
  • I have never hosted a dinner like this! Are the recipes easy to make?
    All my recipes are tested (and retested, and retested!) so anyone can make it - whether they’re complete beginners or masters of the kitchen. In addition to individual recipe tests, the entire cooking schedule has been tested several times as well! So, rest assured that you’ll have an incredible vegan Thanksgiving dinner ready without breaking a sweat.
  • How expensive is the menu? Are any of the ingredients hard to find?
    The ingredients for this menu, as written, will cost you around $150 in most places in the US, which is under $20 per person (or just $2 per person per course) with ample leftovers. The ingredients can be found in most normal grocery stores. I’ve marked the ones where you might want to check online, and divided the shopping list into staples, shop ahead and shop fresh ingredients so you’ll know exactly where to look for what.
  • How many people will this menu feed? Can I adjust it to feed more or less people?
    As written, this menu is meant to feed 6 to 8 people (with some leftovers!) However, you can easily adjust this to feed more or less people by following the adjustment guides.
  • What if I have meat eaters or want to have an actual turkey?
    No worries at all. Check the “Everything But the Turkey” tab in the schedule, and you’ll have a great schedule that gives you step-by-step instructions (assuming an average oven time for an average turkey, and handy links to some great recipes from my non-vegan blogger friends).
  • How is the content delivered?
    The content is going to be delivered via a private Facebook group. Many of the components (i.e., the main eBook, the grocery lists, the schedules, etc.) can be downloaded as PDFs. But given the diversity of formats required, we thought it would be easiest to just host all the content on Facebook.
  • “But I hate Facebook!” - Why are the materials on Facebook?
    Facebook is accessible and supports all the formats required for this experience (i.e., videos, PDF downloads, links, photos, etc.) Plus, most people have Facebook. If you don’t have Facebook (yet!) you can create a dummy account just to access the information. I promise you, you won’t regret it, and you can just download all the content and then forget about it!
  • What other support is available?
    We have the private Facebook community, where you’ll be able to not only ask questions, share photos of your process with others and get to know others of a similar mind and learn from each other. I’ll be around in the Facebook group every day leading up to Thanksgiving, and if you need something super urgent, feel free to send our support team an email!
  • What can I do with leftovers?
    Speaking of leftovers, one of the bonuses is a handy leftover guide and planning printable! We’ve included great options to repurpose leftover mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, seitan (the turkey) - and let’s be real, we’re not going to have leftover cheesecake, are we?
  • Why can’t I just get the recipes from the blog? Why pay for this experience?
